VFD (Variable frequency drive) control panel simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, so today we are going to learn about VFD (Variable frequency drive) control panel in a simple or easiest way possible. So, without wasting much time let's get started. VFD (Variable frequency drive) control panel. Now, the questions arise.  What is the VFD (Variable frequency drive) control panel? As the name suggests it is something like Varying the frequency. So, the VFD drives an electric motor by varying the frequency & voltage supplied to the electric motor or of its power supply. And it is a motor controller. Its other names are or we can say it is also known as adjustable speed drive, adjustable frequency drive, inverter, microdrive, AC drive, and variable speed drive. So, these are the other names of the VFD (Variable frequency drive) control panel. The motor's speed is directly related to the frequency or Hertz or in simple words we can also say that they both are directly proportional. Which means the faster the frequency, faster...

NBFM & WBFM (Narrow band frequency modulation & Wide band frequency modulation) simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to learn about NBFM & WBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation & Wideband frequency modulation) in simple or easy way. So, without wasting any time lets get started. The information about NBFM & WBFM When the spectrum's efficiency is important or it is required then we use NBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation) is used.  But when better signal quality is required or when it is important then we use WBFM (Wideband frequency modulation). The term NBFM is used for those applications where the modulation index is less than or equal to 1. And the term WBFM is used for those applications where the modulation index is greater than or equal to 1. Now, let's see more difference between Narrow band frequency modulation(NBFM) and Wideband frequency modulation(WBFM). The term narrow-band and wide-band refer to the actual radio channel bandwidth. The purpose or advantage of using NBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation) The purpo...

Nozzles & Diffusers simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, so today we are going to learn about Nozzles and Diffusers in a simple or easy way. So, without wasting much time lets get started. NOZZLE Nozzle converts the pressure energy into kinetic energy and Diffuser is just reverse of Nozzle as it converts kinetic energy into pressure energy. The nozzle can be convergent and can be divergent and it has a varying cross-section. And we can say that it's main purpose is to obtain kinetic energy means at the expense of pressure energy we obtain pressure energy. And this high-velocity jet which emerges from the nozzle is used for many purposes or a variety of purposes. Where are nozzles used?  ~ it is used in gas turbines, hydro turbines & steam turbines. And the Nozzle's mass flow rate throughout the passage remains constant. The high-velocity jet which is coming out of the nozzle hits the turbine blades and due to this, the rotor starts rotating in a particular direction.  And because of this hi...

Air Preheater, Superheater & Reheater simple learning. By Yuvi- Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to understand Air preheater, Superheater, and reheater in a simple or easy way. So, without wasting any time lets get started. Why air preheater is required? The entire heat of the flue gases cannot be recovered by the help of an economizer. So, air preheater is also required to recover some of the heat through the flue gases. The boilers efficiency is also increased by 1% with the help of air preheater. {NOTE: If you guys don't know about the economizer then go through this link which is shown below. Because in this lecture video I have properly explained the economizer in a simple way.} Economizer video link.    https://youtu.be/scxizKi7kZQ  And check out this blog if you want to simply know about it in writing. https://www.blogger.com/u/1/blogger.g?blogID=8839271828242826805#editor/target=post;postID=1907393019648483083;onPublishedMen The information about air preheaters? Now, back to the point. The ...

Static relay working and simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, so today we are going to learn about the static relay. It's working, explanation, etc.  So, without wasting any time lets get started.  What are static relays? Static relays are electrically operated switch that has no moving parts or we can say that the term static implies or states that the relay has no moving parts or the relay which does not have any moving part is known as the static relay.   In this relay, only D.C supply is given to the relay measuring unit, amplifier, output device and to the trip circuit. Which means the output is obtained by the static components like an electronic circuit, magnetic circuit, etc. The static unit is used to obtain the response and the electromagnetic relay is used for switching operation. So this static relay consists of the static and electromagnetic relays. More brief information about static relays. The static relay only gives a response to the electrical signal. The design of st...

Triac working and simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to learn about Triac in a simple or easy way. So, without wasting any time lets get started. What is Triac? Triac is a semiconductor device which is widely used in switching applications & power controls. In triac the SCR'S are connected in inverse parallel. I have shown and elaborated the basic structure, electrical equivalent circuit & schematic symbol of the triac in my lecture whose link and video is given in the ending. Now, let's start learning about triac by first knowing its introduction. Introduction & information about TRIAC. Traic is a three-terminal A.C switch which triggers into conduction mode when we apply low energy signal in its gate terminal.   And how triac is different from SCR?  How TRIAC differs from an SCR? Let's study about it, SCR will conduct only in one direction when it gets turned on but Triac can conduct in either direction in the same circuit when it is turned on. ...
