Air Preheater, Superheater & Reheater simple learning. By Yuvi- Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to understand Air preheater, Superheater, and reheater in a simple or easy way.
So, without wasting any time lets get started.

Why air preheater is required?
  • The entire heat of the flue gases cannot be recovered by the help of an economizer. So, air preheater is also required to recover some of the heat through the flue gases.
  • The boilers efficiency is also increased by 1% with the help of air preheater.
{NOTE: If you guys don't know about the economizer then go through this link which is shown below. Because in this lecture video I have properly explained the economizer in a simple way.}

And check out this blog if you want to simply know about it in writing.

The information about air preheaters?
  • Now, back to the point. The use of air preheater is more economical with pulverized fuel boilers or pulverized coal-fired boilers commonly we called these boilers as industrial or utility boiler.
  • The boilers are used because they generate thermal energy by burning of the pulverized coal.
What is pulverized coal?
  • Pulverized coal is the dust coal or powdered coal and it is as fine as the powder which is used on the face.
  • And this coal is further blown into the firebox. So, this is the working or function which is done in the pulverized fuel boiler. And this boiler is used with the air preheater.
  • This boiler is used because the use of air preheater becomes more economical with this boiler.
Superheaters & Reheaters
  • Superheater converts the wet superheated steam into dry superheated steam.
  • The superheaters and reheaters functioning are to superheat steam to the desired temperature.
  • As the steam which is coming from the boiler has some moisture. So, they remove the last traces of the saturated steam moisture by increasing its temperature sufficiently above the saturation temperature.
  • Last traces means 1% to 2% moisture.

NBFM & WBFM (Narrow band frequency modulation & Wide band frequency modulation) simple explanation. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to learn about NBFM & WBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation & Wideband frequency modulation) in simple or easy way. So, without wasting any time lets get started. The information about NBFM & WBFM When the spectrum's efficiency is important or it is required then we use NBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation) is used.  But when better signal quality is required or when it is important then we use WBFM (Wideband frequency modulation). The term NBFM is used for those applications where the modulation index is less than or equal to 1. And the term WBFM is used for those applications where the modulation index is greater than or equal to 1. Now, let's see more difference between Narrow band frequency modulation(NBFM) and Wideband frequency modulation(WBFM). The term narrow-band and wide-band refer to the actual radio channel bandwidth. The purpose or advantage of using NBFM (Narrowband frequency modulation) The purpo...

Corona effect in transmission lines.| Explanation by Yuvi - Study Point

You all have heard about the Corona effect in transmission lines, now understand it in a simple way. This effect is a phenomenon which is associated with all transmission lines. At certain conditions, the electric field closer or near the energized conductors or components produces a tiny electric discharge or we can say corona which causes the surrounding air to ionize. And due to this ionization of surrounding air molecules of conductors, a luminous glow with hissing noise is produced which is known as Corona effect. Between the transmission lines, air act as a dielectric medium or we can say that air act as an insulator between current-carrying conductors. Between the conductors, voltage induces and if this voltage is of alternating nature then charging current will flow between the conductors. And the voltage of this transmission line and electric field intensity increases because of this charging conductor. There is a predetermined value of the electric field inten...

Difference between Alternator and Generator. By Yuvi - Study Point

Hey everyone, today we are going to see the simple difference between Alternator and Generator. So, without wasting any time lets get started. Alternator   An alternator is a machine that converts mechanical energy from a prime mover into the A.C electrical power at a specific frequency and voltage. Alternator induces an alternating current. The input supply in the alternator is taken from the stator.  The alternator has a variable output e.m.f. The alternator is smaller in size as compared to the generator and that's why it requires less space as compared to the generator. The output of the alternator is higher than the generator. The alternator has a wide range of rotation per minute (RPM). The armature of an alternator is stationary which means in an alternator, electricity is produced when the magnetic field spins inside the stator (winding of wire).    The alternator has a rotating magnetic field. A dead battery is can't be charged by an alterna...
